The Holy Family Church Bereavement Ministry is a Volunteer ministry that was established several years ago to serve the needs of Holy Family parishioners who have lost a loved one. We offer food for funeral reception providing the availability of the parish hall and Volunteers. We require 48 hours notice in order to see if we are able to gather the volunteers and to prepare for the meal.
This ministry depends on contributions to provide some of the products used at receptions. Our Volunteers also contribute from their own pockets to provide food items. A Donation box is made available at each reception. The donations allow this ministry to provide families the peace of mind that a meal and refreshments will be taken care of and will be served so that the family can fellowship with family and friends. For this reason donations are needed and greatly appreciated at the receptions.
Weekday Funeral Services (Mon.-Fri.) that take place before 12 noon: the ministry will prepare a meal of picadillo, rice, beans, corn, bread, tea and water, assorted salads, other foods and desserts.
Weekday Funeral Services (Mon-Fri.) that take place after 12 noon: the ministry will provide sandwiches, chips, assorted salads, other foods, desserts, tea and water.
(Families members are welcome to bring additional food which will be placed on the table where the other foods and salads are.)
Note: If a parishioner wants the Bereavement Ministry to provide a meal or if the family wants to provide their family and friends with their own food at the Parish Hall, the Parish Hall must first be available for rent. The fee for the Parish Hall $150 for 2 hours. If the Bereavement Ministry is involved the ministry will ask and provide a donation box at the reception so that they continue to help parish families through this ministry.

Bereavement Ministry: Continues to grow spiritually and in numbers. Our volunteers are here to serve the bereaved when a death occurs within our parish family. A meal is prepared for those returning from the cemetery to allow for fellowship and time to share memories. Call the church office for availability.
